Catalyst composition comprises alumina comprising silver oxide, and niobium oxide. Independent claims are included for: (1) a catalytic conversion device, comprising the catalyst composition deposited on a substrate; (2) a process of treating exhaust gas obtained from an engine, comprising selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gases by hydrocarbons and/or oxygenated compounds with a catalytic composition or with the device of catalytic conversion; (3) an exhaust line of internal combustion engine, comprising the catalyst composition or the catalytic converter device; and (4) a vehicle comprising the engine and the exhaust system connected to the outlet of the engine, where the engine is a diesel engine or gasoline engine with gasoline stratified direct injection.
