The tool (1) has a maintaining body (3) designed to maintain a fixed glass pane on the tool. The maintaining body is movably mounted with respect to a body (2) between two positions. Displacement units move the maintaining body between the positions. Fixing units are designed to fix the body in an isostatic manner on a body element i.e. lining, of a pit of the glass pane of a vehicle. The fixing units comprise a centering pin to cooperate with a centering opening managed in the body element.
