The actuator has a first cylinder barrel (18) on which a track (20) is used to engage even gear ratios. Another track (21) is used to engage odd gear ratios on a second cylinder barrel (19). The cylindrical barrels carry respective tracks for engagement of gear ratios. The barrels are at equidistance from secondary shafts (11, 12). Symmetrical forks (14-17) are associated to the barrels, where the barrels are coaxial. A reverse gear (37) is engaged by the first barrel.
