Cosmetic use of an extract from Pyrus cydoniato stimulate production of collagen type I, is claimed. An independent claim is included for use of an extract from Pyrus cydonia, for the manufacture of a cosmetic composition to stimulate production of collagen type I. ACTIVITY : Dermatological; Ophthalmological. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Collagen I synthesis stimulator. The ability of the extract to stimulate synthesis of collagen type I was tested. The result showed that the extract increased 230% of the production of the collagen type I.
