The air bag (6) has vehicle identifying indications (8) for identifying a vehicle (2) in which the air bag is mounted, where the indications are visible after deployment of the air bag and are affixed on a face located at an outer side of the vehicle after deployment of the air bag. The indications are repeated at a set of places on an outer face of the air bag, and are affixed on an opposite face located at an inner side of the vehicle after deployment of the air bag. The indications are a mark and a model of the vehicle.
