YIELDING TYPE BRACE WITH BUCKLING SUPPRESSION FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a brace, which is installed in a frame of a column or beam etc., and loaded with axial force during inter-layer deformation of the frame, to function to prevent whole bending buckling when loaded with axial compressive force although yielding when loaded with the axial force.;SOLUTION: A brace 4 is sectioned axially into connection parts 41, 41 on both axial side parts which are joined to a frame 3, and a main body part 42 which is positioned between both the connection parts 41, 41, and loaded with the axial force. The main body part 42 is sectioned into a plasticization part 43 which is positioned in contact with at least one of both the connection parts 41, 41, and loaded with the axial force to be plasticized, and an elastic part 420 which is positioned on the opposite side from the connection part 41 with respect to the plasticization part 43, has relatively larger yield strength against the axial force than the plasticization part 43, and is not plasticized against the axial force.
