YIELDING FUNCTION SEPARATION TYPE BRACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace which is mounted in frames of columns and beams and has a yield part for yielding when receiving axial force, for functioning to bear the axial force and to yield in a separative manner while preventing the buckling of the yield part.;SOLUTION: A brace 4 includes: a plurality of axial force members 5, 6 for bearing axial force, which are joined to face each other in a direction perpendicular to an action direction of the axial force; and a yielding member 7 shorter than each of the axial force members 5, 6, the yielding member 7 joined to the axial force members 5, 6 joined to each other while being held throughout the length between the axial force members 5, 6, and capable of yielding when the axial force members 5, 6 bear the axial force. The opposed axial force members 5, 6 are combined so that they are relatively movable each other in an axial direction when bearing the axial force in the state of being joined to each other across the yielding member 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
