PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake releasing device of an extremely simple constitution, without arranging an installing means of an operation means such as a bolt and a fulcrum shaft.SOLUTION: In this hoisting machine including an unexcited operation electromagnetic brake, insertion ports 18a and 18b of first and second operation levers 26 and 27 inserted from the vertical direction between an armature 22 of an electromagnetic brake and a pressure receiving plate 21, are respectively arranged in positions corresponding to an upper part and a lower part of a brake disc 20 of an electromagnetic brake cover 18 for surrounding the electromagnetic brake, and the second operation lever 27 has an insertion part 27a inserted/fitted from below into/to the insertion port 18b and inserted between the armature 22 and the pressure receiving plate 21 and an operation part 27b bending in the horizontal direction from the insertion part 27a.
