PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load estimation method and a load estimation system for transformer that estimate the load on a transformer from an unspread bank of a high-function type power meter by utilizing a user having a high function type power meter.;SOLUTION: The load estimation method includes: acquiring load curves, monthly power consumptions, contract capacities, and categories of industry of new type users (300); calculating average curves by industry by totaling the load curves (302); calculating estimated error rates from the average curve by industry and the load curves (304); calculating monthly power consumption rates by the users (306); calculating error functions by industry from monthly power consumption rates and the estimated error rates (308); acquiring monthly power consumptions, contract capacities, and categories of industry from all users of transformers (310); calculating monthly power consumption rates by the users (312); calculating individual error rates from the error functions by industry and monthly power consumption rates (314); calculating estimated loads by multiplying the average curves by industry by the contract capacities and making corrections with the individual error rates (316); and calculating a maximum load on the transformer by totalizing estimated loads (318).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
