PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image diagnostic apparatus which stably evaluates left ventricular dyssynchrony and is suitable for predicting an effective case of cardiac resynchronization therapy.SOLUTION: The image diagnostic apparatus, such as an X-ray CT apparatus, an MR apparatus or the like, acquires temporal changes in the myocardial wall thickness at a plurality of local regions of the heart on the basis of time-series images showing the inner structure of the heart of a subject (S5 and S6). The image diagnostic apparatus then calculates, on the basis of the temporal changes in the myocardial wall thickness, an index value reflecting the degree of dispersion of a cardiac phase wherein the size or the change rate of the myocardial wall thickness at the plurality of the local regions fulfills a predetermined condition, for example, becomes maximal (S7 and S9).
