PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC chip etc. which runs other interfaces even when one interface has a problem with running in initialization processing.SOLUTION: An IC chip comprises multiple interfaces X and Y, and runs each interface of X and Y to asynchronously communicate with other communication terminals. The IC chip also comprises; an initialization and self-diagnostic processing execution means executing initialization processing and self-diagnostic processing for each of the interfaces X and Y after activation of one interface X is detected; and an output means outputting a response signal which shows a result of the self-diagnostic. When another interface Y is determined to be out of order as a result of the self-diagnostic, the output means outputs a response signal to which a flag showing the other interface Y is out of order is set.
