PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fountain pen with an ink inhalation mechanism having a structure in which a thrust bar 9 hardly falls off from a moving valve member 8 even when resistance is applied to the moving valve member 8 formed of a soft material by contact with an inside face 7c of an ink storage part 7 upon retreating the thrust bar 9.SOLUTION: The thrust bar 9 is formed by resin molding using a split mold, and an edge part 9c is provided, formed by a partition line of the split mold on a rear end outer periphery of an outwardly projecting flange part 9a of the thrust bar 9, so that when the thrust bar 9 is retreated, the edge part 9c of the thrust bar 9 bites into an inwardly projecting flange part 8b of the moving valve member 8.
