PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure prevention of occurrence of a cable disconnection event by securing extra length of cable allowing the cable to move smoothly even if strong tensile force by an earthquake acts on the cable rapidly.;SOLUTION: A disconnection prevention device for a cable K is comprised of a guide rail 1 with predetermined length and fixed at the upper part of the facility and a plurality of traveling bodies 2 moving along the guide rail. Each traveling body comprises a suspension rod 3 extended downward and the cable is attached to the lower end of the suspension rod. In addition, the guide rail is comprised of a rectangular top plate, a vertical piece, and a horizontal piece. The plurality of traveling bodies moving along the guide rail is comprised of a progress part 7 arranged inside the guide rail and the progress part comprises multiple wheels 8 on both sides thereof and placed on both horizontal pieces constituting the guide rail.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
