PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a transfer device for transferring a transfer layer from a transfer foil to a printing object so that conventional problems can be solved or at least reduced.;SOLUTION: A base module 2 is mainly composed of a processing unit of a machine 117 for processing a sheet or roll, for example, a printing unit, a coating unit, an embossing unit, a groove forming unit or the like, and a transfer module 3 is structurally separated from the base module. The transfer module includes a guide element 102 and/or a dancer mechanism 103 for guiding a transfer foil 104 and/or adjusting the tension of the transfer foil.
