PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably crush a shock absorbing member in a vehicle anteroposterior direction when the load is input in the shock absorbing member from a bumper reinforcement.;SOLUTION: A connecting structure includes: the shock absorbing member 18 which is interposed between a side member 16 and the bumper reinforcement 14, is formed in a rectangular cylinder shape having at least four edge lines 17 forming a shape dwindling toward the vehicle front side so as to be crushed in the vehicle anteroposterior direction by the load, in which a tip end notch part 19 is formed at a region crossing the edge lines 17 outside in the vehicle width direction of the tip end part 18B; and a connecting member 20 which is adhered by welding an upper surface part 24 and a lower surface part 26 to the tip end part 18B, and connects the tip end part 18B and the bumper reinforcement 14. The connecting structure includes a plurality of fragile parts (bead parts 38 or the like) which are formed in the connecting member 20 so as to be deformed prior to the shock absorbing member 18, and accelerate crush of the shock absorbing member 18 in the vehicle anteroposterior direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
