PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material improving the utilization efficiency of carbon nano-particles, etc., further and a method for producing the same. PSOLUTION: This method for producing the composite material is provided by holding carbon nano-structural materials in the holes of a polymer aerogel, or by preparing the polymer aerogel formed with a multiple number of holes by reacting an aromatic low molecular substance having ≥2 functional groups with a cross-linkable low molecular substance having functional groups capable of reacting with the functional groups of the aromatic low molecular substance and also cross-linking, and then making the holes of the polymer aerogel hold the carbon nano-structural material.
