PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for oxide superconducting wire material that easily and accurately positions an oxide superconducting wire material while keeping a superconducting wire material airtight against outside air.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for oxide superconducting wire material includes a bending process S1 of forming a bent body with a bent part by bending a wire material for protection, which has a tape-like stabilization layer and a solder layer formed on the stabilization layer, at a width-directionally intermediate part of the wire material for protection with the solder layer in; an accommodating process S2 of accommodating a tape-like superconducting laminate, having a metal base, an intermediate layer, an oxide superconducting layer, and a protection layer laminated, inside the bent body along an inner surface of the bent body; and a fixing process S3 of surrounding the superconducting laminate with the bent body, and fixing the superconducting laminate by fusing and solidifying the solder layer present at a periphery of the superconducting laminate.
