Method and multimedia terminal for dynamic navigation between multimedia documents

The present invention concerns a process for dynamic navigation with the help of a user interface. Navigation is performed within a tree structure composed of several levels, each level representing categories of multimedia documents. The invention consists of a process enabling a user to formulate a new navigation structure upon each command by modifying the ordered list of levels. The user interface constantly displays the structure of a navigation tree, the list of classification elements accessible from the current level and the list of documents accessible from the current level. The invention also relates to a multimedia terminal able to receive a tree structure and to send signals for displaying a representation of this tree, and equipped with means of dynamic modification of its structure.
