PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting apparatus for a dome-like roof capable of lifting the dome-like roof smoothly. PSOLUTION: This lifting apparatus 5 is arranged in a plurality of sections in the peripheral direction of a side wall 3 of a tank 1 at an upper end 3a of the side wall 3 to lift the dome-like roof 4 on an inner side of the tank 1. This lifting apparatus 5 is provided with a supporting member 7 attached and fixed to/on the upper end 3a of the side wall 3 and a manually operated winch 8 supported on the supporting member 7. Here, a rope 9 in the manually operated winch 8 is attached to a peripheral fringe part of the dome-like roof 4 on the inner side of the tank 1 so that the dome-like roof 4 is lifted by the manually operated winch 8.
