Retransmission apparatus and method for high-speed data processing

An effective retransmission device and a method for high-speed data processing are provided to reduce load generated due to HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Retransmission Request) and ARQ operations by transmitting only local NACK(Negative Acknowledgement) through an HARQ transmitting part and ACK including the final sequence number of normally received packets, through an ARQ receiving part. A method for retransmitting high-speed packet data at a transmitter ARQ entity of a mobile communication system performing HARQ and ARQ at the same time includes the steps for receiving an ACK signal including the final sequence number of packets continuously and normally received from a receiver ARQ entity; receiving an NACK signal corresponding to ARQ packets(822,826) that are not normally received through HARQ, from a transmitter HARQ entity; and checking at least one ARQ packet that is not normally transmitted, in consideration of ACK and NACK and retransmitting a retransmission packet including the checked ARQ packets.
