PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dispersibility of fine particles in a dispersion for a surface protective layer, and to provide a method for manufacturing an organic photoreceptor capable of providing a high-quality electrophotographic image reduced in image defects such as black spots, an organic photoreceptor, an image forming apparatus and an image forming unit.;SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a dispersion for a surface protective layer of an organic photoreceptor is provided including: injecting a first mixed liquid consisting essentially of fine particles and a solvent into a solution tank; preliminarily dispersing the fine particles by mechanical stirring and ultrasonic dispersion while circulating the first mixed liquid between the solution tank and an ultrasonic dispersing machine; mixing a binder resin solution prepared by dissolving at least a binder resin in an amount of a solvent equal to or less than the amount of the solvent used in the first mixed liquid with the first mixed liquid to prepare a second mixed liquid; and dispersing the fine particles again by mechanical stirring and ultrasonic dispersion while circulating the second mixed liquid between the solution tank and the ultrasonic dispersing machine.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
