PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a fat signal and improve an MR image in regard to a method and an apparatus of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) especially for water-fat separation. PSOLUTION: The method is used for separation of chemical shift components of water w and fat f, and (i) estimates magnetic field nonuniformity β by residual treatment of the following Moore-Penrose solving method, cos(αSBn/SBβ)*w + cos[αSBn/SB(1+β)]*f = real(ISBn/SB); sin(αSBn/SBβ)*w + sin[αSBn/SB(1+β)]*f = real(ISBn/SB), and (ii) the answers of w and f are found from the original input signal In by using of the estimated magnetic filed nonuniformity β.
