PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating agent, a peeling method and an elimination method for a suspending dust which efficiently inhibit the generation of harmful fine dust by a peeling and elimination work of a dust generation layer and improve operation efficiency.;SOLUTION: The dust treating agent comprises an aqueous solution or aqueous dispersion liquid of straight chain poly (meth)acrylamide having a number-average molecular weight of 5×10⁶ or more measured based on the limit viscosity method and is characterized in that the poly (meth)acrylamide aqueous solution or aqueous dispersion liquid has a solid concentration of 0.0001-0.01 wt.%, the solid concentration increases by drying and forms water-holding gel, and the water-holding gel is not water soluble.
