PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal orientated film hardly producing tilt angles of the liquid crystals by using non-polarized light, and to provide a method of reducing the tilt angles.;SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a liquid crystal orientated film forms an optical orientation layer on a substrate, and irradiates it from aslant direction with light. The above light is a non-polarized light, consisting of light (a) and light (b) different from each other in the direction. (1) The light (a) and light (b) partly cross the orientation film. (2) The light (a) and light (b) form substantially a 0° or 180° angle with each other. (3) The light (a) and light (b) make substantially the same angle to the orientation film. (4) When the light intensities of the light (a) and light (b) on the oriented film are represented by Ia, Ib, the light (a) and light (b) having substantially equal Ia, Ib are radiated to the orientation film at the same time, to make light orientation where they meet.
