PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration process to a grinding machine, ensuring accurate machining of a tool over a long period of time.;SOLUTION: Calibration for the machine is performed by a reference part and a reference scanner in the first calibration process. In this case, the reference part is fixed to a work spindle or a workpiece carrier, and the reference scanner is fixed to the workpiece carrier or the work spindle. A grinding test follows a first omnidirectional scanning process, and in the meantime, an intrinsic difference (especially a difference depending on an allowance of the scanner) in the scanning process is fixed.
