PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein a load is imposed on checking whether a symbol whose definition is omitted exists and whether all necessary symbols are arranged on a screen, after definition in a system for defining an attribute for connecting to equipment, after arranging the symbols on the screen to create a monitoring control screen, as in conventional manner.;SOLUTION: All of the symbols to be arranged on a monitoring screen are defined and displayed in a symbol display area of a display screen, the symbols displayed in the symbol display area are subjected to drag-and-drop to a plotting area of the display screen selected as a monitoring screen, to thereby create a monitoring screen with the defined symbols displayed thereon and eliminate the dragged-and-dropped symbols from the symbol display area; and when, conversely, the symbols subjected to drag-and-drop to the plotting area are eliminated, the symbols eliminated are redisplayed in the symbol display area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
