The present invention is related to heterocycles represented by a compound of Formula I that are novel allosteric modulators of α7 nAChRs and/or GABA_A receptors. The invention also discloses the treatment of disorders that are responsive to enhancement of acetylcholine action on α7 nAChRs and negative allosteric modulation of GABA_A receptors in a mammal by administering an effective amount of a compound of Formula I.;
