The present invention relates to a portable computer system or an e-Book/eReader and a method for gathering electronic reading material that adjusts and behaves in a fashion that complements and enhances learning capability of the user. The system for modeling, augmenting and distributing digital contents comprising one or more server for aggregating the contents, portable digital display device, personalization engine which continuously monitors user reading speed/pattern for dynamically updating the personalization information, recommendation engine, content transformation engine and semantic analyzer. The personalization is based on user"s identifiers, cognition style, cognition pattern and usage of web semantics and the recommendation is based on the information obtained from personalization engine model"s, content for a user. The augmented content based on user model is transformed for display in the digital display device.
