A method for manufacturing a barrel of short-barrel fire arm for non-fatal shooting consists in that prior to application to prepared barrel of chemical coating one prepares in the chase a conical or a cone-like cant, with drilling or making in any other way through openings at the side surfaces of the barrel in vicinity of its central section, with placement of streamlined inserts in turn to the bore, one after another, with arrangement of those in projections of the through openings, with holding the streamlined inserts in vicinity of through openings and welding those inserts from the side of the outer surface of the barrel to the inner surface of the bore.
