Procedure, primer set and detection kit for virus infectious pancreatic necrosis (IPNV) in asymptomatic fish, using the combination of RT-PCR, nested RT-PCR and dot-blot hybridization. For RT-PCR specific primers are designed to amplify a fragment of 599 base pairs in the region of VP2 precursor. For nested RT-PCR were designed internal primers which amplify a 191 bp fragment. For hybridization probe is designed dsDNA digoxigenin labeled from the purified products of nested RT-PCR. They are set optimum for the different steps RNA amplification conditions and for dot-blot hybridization. The invention allows to detect the virus in fish tissues, including blood, quickly, reliably and efficiently. The procedure is applicable in the aquaculture sector.
