Method for analysing the frequency in real-time ofa non-stationary signal and corresponding analysiscircuit.According to the invention, the signal is sampled,it is digitised, it is broken up into sub-bands. Ineach sub-band, the signal is modelled by an auto--regressivefilter the transfer function of which is ofthe form 1/A(z). By an adaptive method that isrecursive in time and in order, all the polynomialsA(z) that have a degree between 1 and a maximum valueare calculated. The order of the model is estimated andthe polynomial that has this order is retained. Theroots of this polynomial are calculated and thecomponents are monitored. The frequency and theamplitude of the sinusoidal components of the signalare thus obtained.Application in aeronautics, electromagnetic,mechanics, seismic prospecting, zoology, etc.
