A method, device and terminal for classifying short messages are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes that: a received first short message is classified; the first short message is sent from a first message sender; the current user processing information corresponding to the first message sender is acquired according to a processing procedure which is performed on the classified first short message by a user; the credibility of the current first message sender is acquired according to the user processing information, and the credibility of the first message sender is added into a credibility database, in order to classify, according to the credibility database, the first short messages successively sent by the first message sender. According to the present invention, the terminal can acquire the credibility of the message sender of a short message by analyzing the processing procedure which is performed on the received short message by the user, and accurately classify, according to the credibility, the short messages successively sent by the message sender, so that the filtering of the rubbish short messages can be realized.
