The impeller (2) has a blade (4) and is formed as a cast part. The impeller is formed by two core sections during casting. The dividing lines between the two core sections are spaced by a front edge (10) of the blade in a flow direction (S). The impeller is a cast part made of metal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a core arrangement for casting an impeller of a pump; and (2) a method for casting an impeller of a pump.
