PURPOSE: A fish position tracking system for fishery resource management and a method thereof are provided to acquire information with respect to a moving path and habit of fishery resources.;CONSTITUTION: A tag(110) is included in the body of a fish or fry and generates underwater ultrasonic signals. A fish position tracking sonar(120) tracks a moving path of the fish on a real time basis while being equipped in a plurality of research submersibles as an apparatus for receiving information from the tag. A converter(130) calculates the distance and direction of the tag by receiving the ultrasonic signal generated from the tag using the fish position tracking sonar. An extracting part(140) detects a target position by extracting calculated information from ultrasonic wave signal information.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
