PURPOSE: A liquid crystal alignment agent is provided to avoid the deterioration caused by the absorption of a film even if a liquid crystal alignment film is exposed to the air, and to ensure excellent strippability of the film and printability.;CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal alignment agent includes a polymer. The polymer is selected from the group consisting of a polyamic acid obtained by reacting tetracarboxylic dianhydride with diamine, and polyimide obtained by dehydrating and ring-opening the polyamic acid. The diamine includes a compound of chemical formula (A1) and a compound having a carboxy group and two amino groups. In chemical formula (A1), R^1 is a C1~6 alkyl group; R^2 are respectively a C1~6 alkyl group, halogen, cyano group or hydroxyl group; X^1 is a single bond, methylene group, C2~6 alkylene group, phenylene group, or cyclohexylene group; a is an integer of 0~5; b is an integer of 0~4; and c is an integer of 0~3.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
