PURPOSE: An ultrasound system and method for performing a signal correction process are provided to precisely correct the amplitude and the phase of an IQ(In-phase/Quadrature) signal based on a correction value, thereby effectively eliminating a virtual image. CONSTITUTION: A user input unit(110) receives the input information of a user. A signal obtaining unit(120) obtains an IQ signal using a reference signal. A correction unit(130) calculates a correction value using an IQ signal provided from the signal obtaining unit. A storage unit(140) stores the calculated correction value. A display unit(160) displays a Doppler mode image formed in a processor(150).
