Disclosed are: an eating-assisting oil or fat composition for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing, which is produced by mixing, while cooling rapidly, a composition having an SFC value of 3 to 18% in a temperature range from 5 to 25°C and containing an oil or fat; a container-packed eating-assisting oil or fat composition for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing, which is produced by filling the above-mentioned eating-assisting oil or fat composition for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing into a flexible container; a food for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing, which comprises the above-mentioned eating-assisting oil or fat composition for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing and a finely divided product or a ground product of an edible food; and a process for producing a food for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing, which is characterized by comprising mixing an eating-assisting oil or fat composition for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing with a finely divided product or a ground product of an edible food, wherein the eating-assisting oil or fat composition is produced by mixing, while cooling rapidly, a composition having an SFC value of 3 to 18% in a temperature range from 5 to 25°C and containing an oil or fat. The eating-assisting oil or fat composition for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing enables the easy production of a food that is easy to be ingested by persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing. The food for persons who have difficulty in chewing and/or swallowing can be produced using the eating-assisting oil or fat composition.
