PURPOSE: A coupled torsion beam axle type rear suspension device for a four-wheel car is provided to improve the control stability of a car through improving the lateral stiffness of a coupled torsion beam axle rear suspension in which a rear open type torsion beam applied.;CONSTITUTION: A coupled torsion beam axle type rear suspension device for a four-wheel car comprises a torsion beam(12), an outside torsion bar(20), an inner side torsion bar(30), a lateral stiffness mediation device(40). The torsion beam is rear open type and the both sides of the torsion beam are coupled with a trailing arm(11) respectively. The middle portion of the torsion beam is projected upward comparing to both ends. The one side of the outside torsion bar is coupled with a trailing arm and the other side is located into the longitudinal direction of the torsion beam. The inner side torsion bar is located into the cross direction of the torsion beam and has space with the outside torsion bar. The one side of the inner side torsion bar is installed by coupling with the torsion beam. The lateral stiffness mediation device adjusts the lateral stiffness through gaping between the inner side torsion bar and the outside torsion bar.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
