PURPOSE: A single-axis robot using belts is provided to enhance the movement accuracy of a moving block because a push-back is prevented by an auxiliary belt in movement or pause of the moving block.;CONSTITUTION: A single-axis robot using belts comprises a rectangular base frame, belt fixing blocks, a timing belt(200), a driving gear(500), a moving block(300), and an auxiliary belt(600). The belt fixing blocks are installed in both end parts of the base frame to be faced to each other. Both side end parts of the timing belt are fixed by the belt fixing blocks. The driving gear is driven by a motor and engaged with the timing belt. The moving block travels along the timing belt. The moving block supports the timing belt in both side of the driving gear using guide rollers(510,520), thereby maintaining an engaged state of the timing belt and driving gear. The auxiliary belt is straightly installed in the bottom surface of the timing belt and both end parts of the auxiliary belt is fixed by the belt fixing blocks. A gear surface of the auxiliary belt is engaged with a gear surface of the timing belt.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
