PURPOSE: A power steering device control method is provided to control the operation of a power steering according to hardware fault due to the abnormal operation of the clock unit of a micro control unit.;CONSTITUTION: A power steering device control method is as follows. The micro control unit(MCU) is operated in a power steering device having emergency mode for replacing a broken clock into an internal clock. A power steering device determines whether the state is in emergency mode in case of an external clock is broken(S110). The operation of a power steering according to an internal clock is recorded in emergency mode(S120). The restorer of the external clock is detected(S130). The monitoring time for detecting fault or DTD(Dynamic Traction Control) is determined in case of the external clock is not normally restored(S140).
