PURPOSE: An iron-based soft magnetic powder for a dust core, a manufacturing method thereof, and the dust core are provided to reduce the coercive force of the ferrous soft magnetic powder by controlling the inclusions of the iron-based soft magnetic powder.;CONSTITUTION: An insulating film is formed on the surface of an iron-based soft magnetic powder. When a cross section of the iron-based soft magnetic powder is observed by a scanning electron microscope, the number of inclusions with an equivalent circuit diameter of 0.1 to 3 um is 1 x 10^4/mm^2 or less. The number of inclusions with an equivalent circuit diameter exceeding 3 um is 10 piceces/mm^2.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
