BACILLUS SP. PB25 STRAIN ISOLATED FROM SOIL AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: A Bacillus sp. PB25 is provided to enhance resistance to abiotic environmental stress in a plant and to improve crop productivity. CONSTITUTION: A Bacillus sp. PB25 strain(KCTC18203P) has effects of preventing plant diseases and enhancing resistance to abiotic enviromental stress in a plant. A composition for preventing plant diseases contains the strain as an active ingredient. The plant diseases include bacterial disease such as bacterial spot or viral disease such as cucumber mosaic virus. A method for preventing the plant diseases comprises a step of treating the composition to the plants and introducing induced systemic resistance. A composition for enhancing resistance to abiotic environmental stress contains the strain as an active ingredient. The abiotic environmental stress includes drying or low temperature stress. A composition for preventing the plant diseases contains 2-aminobenzoic acid, 3-aminobenzoic acid, or 4-aminobenzoic acid as an active ingredient.
