PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing a ring-shaped protection plate is provided to smoothly deal with manufacture of different diameters of ring-shaped protection plates by simply changing rolling reduction and a cylindrical wedge set.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing a ring-shaped protection plate comprises a lower guide pressure plate, a cylindrical wedge, an angled punch, and an upper compression plate. A preform(T) is erected on the lower guide pressure plate vertically to the ground. The cylindrical wedge comprises prefabricated pieces which have respective inner slopes, are inserted in the hollow of the preform, and are moved radially to apply a radial force to the preform. The angled punch has a shape tapered from top to bottom, is inserted into the hollow of the cylindrical wedge, and moves each prefabricated piece. The upper compression plate is coupled to the top of the angled punch and presses the angled punch downward.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
