NEW VARIETY OF TEA TREE PRODUCING LEAFS CONTAINING HIGH CONTENTS OF THEANINE AND TOTAL AMINO ACIDS

PURPOSE: A new variety tea tree with theanine and total amino acid content is provided to improve functionality and preference. CONSTITUTION: A new variety tea tree has characteristics: 3.50% or more of total amino acid content; 2.20% or more of theanine content; 100.0 mg/g or less of total catechin content; and 23.5 mg/g or less of caffeine content. The content of the ingredients is measured by near infrared spectroscopy or high performance liquid chromatography. The leaf width, length, and area of the tea tree is 37-47 mm, 85-95 mm, and 2200-3200 mm^2, respectively. [Reference numerals] (AA) Yabugida; (BB) Jangwon No. 2
