AGENT FOR REINFORCING AMINO ACID INCLUDED IN TEA LEAF, METHOD FOR CULTIVATING TEA LEAF, TEA LEAF, AND TEA EXTRACT

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tea leaves and tea extract each containing much amino acid such as teanine: to provide a method for cultivating the tea leaves: and to provide an agent reinforcing amino acid included in the tea leaves. PSOLUTION: The method for cultivating tea leaves comprises giving water solution containing betaine to a tea tree before its dormant stage or after sprouting so that the betaine is accumulated in the cultivated tea leaves to increase the content of amino acid containing mainly of the teanine. The tea extract is obtained through manufacturing tea from the tea leaves and extracting the tea. Tea beverage increased in the amino acid and containing betaine is prepared from the tea extract.
