PURPOSE: A dye for dye-sensitized solar battery with improved quantum efficiency and a dye-sensitized solar cell containing the same are provided to manufacture photocurrent even in the visible light region.;CONSTITUTION: A dye-sensitized solar cell includes a absorber layer including porphyrin derivative, a semiconductor electrode, and a counter electrode. The porphyrin derivative has an electron donor porphyrin electron acceptor structure and is represented by chemical formula 1. In the chemical formula 1, X indicates non-substituted C12-24 diarylamino group, C12-24 diarylamino group which is substituted with one or more substituted or non-substituted C3-12 alkyl group, carboxyl group and cyano group, Two of Y are respectively indicate hydrogen, or non-substituted C3-12 alkylene, or C3-12 alkylene which is substituted with one or more substituted or non-substituted C3-12 alkyl group, carboxyl group and cyano group. Two of A are respectively indicate non-substituted C6-24 aryl which is substituted with one or more C3-12 alkyl group, carboxyl group and cyano group.
