PURPOSE: A device and method for driving a fuel pump motor are provide to accurately control fuel supplied to an engine by constantly maintaining the fuel pressure of a fuel supply line.;CONSTITUTION: A device for driving a fuel pump motor comprises a motor driving unit(21), a pressure sensor(24), an interface unit(26), and a control unit(28). The pressure sensor senses the pressure of fuel supplied to an engine. The interface unit receives the target pressure of the fuel supplied to the engine from the main control unit of a vehicle. The control unit controls the motor driving unit to change the driving speed of a motor on the basis of the sensed pressure and target pressure.
