PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefied gas fuel supply device whose high-pressure pump is driven in the condition of being reliably filled with liquefied gas fuel to reduce the seizure of a plunger, and to provide its high-pressure pump driving method. PSOLUTION: The liquefied gas fuel supply device feeds the liquefied gas fuel from a storage tank to the high pressure pump with a feed pump, forcibly feeding the liquefied gas fuel whose pressure is increased with the high-pressure pump, and then injecting it through a fuel injection part. The device comprises a return passage for returning the liquefied gas fuel overflowing from the high-pressure pump to the storage tank, a means arranged in the return passage for detecting the flow amount of the liquefied gas fuel passing through the passage, and a pump driving means for driving the high-pressure pump when a value detected by the flow amount detecting means is a predetermined threshold value or greater.
