PURPOSE: An image management system and a method thereof using meta data are provided to increase the accuracy of image search by compensating the deviation of a camera by comparing meta data of an image process unit with meta data of a central server. CONSTITUTION: A collecting unit(210) receives first meta data from an image process unit(120) and stores the image in a database(260). The image process unit generates first metadata by analyzing the image of a camera. An image re-analyzing unit(220) analyzes the image which is received from the collecting unit and generates second metadata. A parameter verifying unit(230) compares first metadata and second metadata. A searching unit(240) searches for metadata in the database.
