PURPOSE: A method and a device for learning a language are provided to enable a user to efficiently memory words. CONSTITUTION: A key input unit(102) receives an acquaintance selecting command according to words and mode selection. A memory unit(104) stores a sentence structure, word data, and a program according to a display mode. An image processing unit(106) processes the image of the word according to the display mode. A display unit(108) displays the processed word image. A controller(120) inputs a word group selection command for memorizing words and controls the display image according to the display mode, and controls the display frequency according to the acquaintance input command of the word.
